Hi! I’m Chelsea Brown, the owner of Little Bo-tique. I’ve been working at Little Bo-tique since I was fourteen years old. If that doesn’t prove how much I love and believe in this store, I’m not sure what will!
In 2020 the previous owner of Little Bo-tique handed the baton to me. And I’ve been running this awesome little store since. I’m a busy mom of three so I don’t do it alone! Several incredible ladies, most of them are moms too, help keep the store running well.
I love seeing how the store makes it possible for people to repurpose their high-end clothing. But I also love making quality clothing accessible to everyone. With our low prices, rewards program, and sales, I know everyone can find something here for them.
And that’s what keeps me going. Seeing local community and online customers find used items that they may not have the budget for brand new.
How to Consign
That’s enough about me. Let me fill you in on how you can consign at Little Bo-tique. We consign by season. So, your first step is to check which season we are currently consigning.
This is our consigning schedule:
- Spring: January-March (short sleeve/capris/jackets)
- Summer: March-July (swimwear/sleeveless/shorts)
- Fall: July-September (back to school wear/long sleeve/jackets)
- Winter: September-January (coats/sweaters/snow wear)
Your next step is to gather the items you’re consigning so you can give us an estimate of how much you’re bringing in. Once you know that, you can call to make your drop-appointment. We will ask for your name, a day and time that works best for you, and the amount of bins you’ll be bringing. Make sure all clothes are freshly washed and that toys are wiped down and work properly.
When you bring your items in, we will go through them while you shop the store (most people can’t help themselves…so they shop while they wait). Whatever items we don’t take will be given back to you before you leave the store.
Once your items are with us at the store, we will price and tag them as soon as possible. We’ll send you an email with everything you need to know about the items we took and how to keep track of your consignor balance.
Your items will be consigned for two months. Then, whatever items remain can be picked up within 7 days of their expiration or you can donate them to the store.

FAQs
Is it worth taking clothes to a consignment shop?
Yes! Do you have clothes that aren’t brand new but are not Goodwill ready yet? Yes? Then it is so worth it to bring those clothes to be consigned. Instead of watching your money go out the window, you’ll get back some of the money spent on your items.
What is a boutique consignment store?
We run like most consignment stores but we only take and sell higher-end, boutique brands. This means you can bring your boutique brands knowing that they will be priced fairly. And, you can come to shop knowing what you’ll find.
Do you have a limit on how many items I can bring in?
We do! We ask that you limit to three bins per drop. This is for your convenience and so we get your items on the racks quickly.
Can I track how my items are selling?
You sure can! You can set up your own consignor log in to keep track of how your items are selling.
When can I receive the money in my account?
If have venmo, you can receive your money anytime! If you would rather receive your money via check, you can request a check when your items expire in the store.
Are there brands that you don’t take?
Yes. There are certain brands that do not sell well in our store. For your sake and ours, we don’t accept the following brands: Simply Basic, Honors, No Boundaries, Baby Connection, Kid Connection, Girl Connection, Route 66, Basic Editions, TKS, Arizona, Okie Dokie, Circo, Sesame Street, French Toast, Healthtex, McKids, Faded Glory, Wonder Kids, George, Lee, Green Dog.
Do certain brands sell better at Little Bo-tique?
Definitely. Our customers primarily come shopping for: Gymboree, Hanna Andersson, Justice, Abercrombie, Hollister, Old Navy, Ralph Lauren, Aeropostale, Gap, Children's Place, Tea, Mini Boden, Matilda Jane, Adidas, Nike, Under Armour, Rylee & Cru, Jamie kay, Posh Peanut, Zara, Kate quinn, Vineyard Vines, Francesca', Lucky Brand, Lululemon, Pacsun, Free People, Carly Jean, and other similar brands.
What factors keep you from taking an item?
- Quality, brand, condition
- Number of identical items already in the store
- How many items are in the store overall
Why do I have to make an appointment?
It may seem like more work, but in the long run it saves everyone time and hassle. Before we did appointments, we had people waiting much longer to have their items processed. We don’t want to make you wait. So, we make appointments.
Do you take large items like strollers, toy kitchens, cribs, etc?
We sure do. However, we ask that you call before bringing them because we have to have the room in the store to accept it.
What percentage of sales do I get?
40% of all your sales go to you. You can use the money in your account towards Little Bo-tique purchases or request to recieve it through Venmo or check.
